Rene and Jared’s Wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch
Looking back on Rene and Jared’s wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch, I’m still in awe of the magic that unfolded. Their story feels like it could come straight out of a romantic movie—high school sweethearts who went their separate ways after graduation, only to reconnect years later in their hometown. Jared, a professional football player, and Rene, a choreographer in New York City, always carried a piece of each other in their hearts.
The universe conspired to bring them back together at a local coffee shop, a moment straight out of fate’s playbook. Their love reignited instantly, and their connection was as undeniable as ever.
A Dream Venue for a Storybook Wedding
When it came time to plan their wedding, Rene and Jared chose the stunning Swallow Creek Ranch in San Luis Obispo County. This venue wasn’t just beautiful; it held a special meaning for Jared. Years before reconnecting with Rene, he had a dream of her walking down the aisle at a ranch just like this. Touring the venue brought that dream to life, making it the perfect place for their celebration.
Modern Rustic Meets Bohemian Elegance
Rene and Jared envisioned a wedding that felt authentically them—modern rustic charm with a bohemian twist, using rich, warm tones. Despite the spring season, they opted for a fall-inspired palette of burgundy, emerald, rust, mustard, golden yellow, toffee, and ivory. This bold color scheme brought warmth and depth to every design element.
Eden Floral worked magic with the florals, incorporating matte rust and yellow vases that elevated the aesthetic. The result was an eclectic, modern design that perfectly captured the couple’s style.
Personal Touches that Stole the Show
The couple wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities, and we delivered with unique, meaningful touches:
Custom Signage by Rose and Wrench: A heartfelt welcome sign and a slat wood seating chart added rustic elegance.
Cannabis and Whiskey Lounge: A curated space for Jared, complete with rustic tables, gold accents, and vintage goblets.
Decadent Dessert Bar by Just Baked: Overflowing with cookies (Jared’s favorite), Rice Krispies treats, gooey brownies, and bite-sized desserts, this station became a focal point of the night.
Guests enjoyed a family-style dinner catered by Chef’s Table, featuring elevated comfort food that everyone loved. Signature cocktails by Mixed Events—his whiskey and her tequila—kept the celebration lively.
A Celebration to Remember
Sean, our DJ, kept the energy high with a packed dance floor all night. Rene’s radiant smile and Jared’s adoring gaze created an atmosphere of love that was palpable. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple celebrated a love story that had come full circle.
Why This Wedding Stands Out
Rene and Jared’s wedding wasn’t just an event—it was a heartfelt celebration of their journey, their love, and their commitment. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Helping couples bring their dreams to life is a privilege, and being part of Rene and Jared’s story is something I’ll treasure forever.
